Champions League Tuesday Predictions – Chelsea win, Arsenal Draw

Champions League Trophy

With the international break done and dusted we are back to a hectic schedule of European midweek football.

We ask the TFF team to predict the scores of The Champions League tussles on Tuesday.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – GROUP F

BATE Bor v Barcelona

Barcelona have been stuttering at times without their wizard, Lionel Messi, who is out for up to two months.

But a 5-2 hammering of Rayo in La Liga at the weekend demonstrates that they still have more than enough firepower to swat most teams away.

We fear for BATE on the break here but Barcelona won’t have it all their own way after BATE beat Roma last time out.

TFF Prediction: BATE 2 – Barcelona 3

Bayer Levkn v Roma

Roma are licking their wounds after defeat in the last game, away at BATE.

But Roma sit 2nd in Serie A and have started their domestic campaign in excellent form. They will hope to transfer that to Europe but we see a draw here.

TFF Prediction: Bayer 2 – Roma 2

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – GROUP F

Arsenal v Bayern Munich

Arsenal have lost their opening two games in the group stage this season and there is now a very real threat that they will fail to qualify for the knockout stages for the first time.

This one looks like one of the ties of Matchday 3 and we reckon it’s going to be a scoring draw.

TFF Prediction: Arsenal 2 – Bayern Munich 2

Dinamo Zagreb v Olympiakos

Both teams are capable of winning this one and both have good Champions League experience.

TFF Prediction: Dinamo Zagreb 2 – Olympiakos 1

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – GROUP G

Dynamo Kiev v Chelsea

Chelsea would love to take three points but may be happy to return with one considering their current form.

TFF Prediction: Dynamo Kiev 1 – Chelsea 3

FC Porto v Maccabi Tel Aviv

Porto are looking strong

TFF Prediction: Porto 2 – Maccabi 0

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – GROUP H

Valencia v KAA Gent

Valencia remain a very good football side.

TFF Prediction: Valencia 3 – KAA 0

Zenit St P v Lyon

An interesting fixture which really could go either way. We think that home advantage should pay. Just.

TFF Prediction: Zenit St P 2 v Lyon 1
