Liverpool broke their transfer record to sign Dutch international Virgil van Dijk from the Saints in the last winter transfer window.
The 27-year-old star is one of the best central defenders in the world and he has transformed Liverpool’s back line with his leadership.
If reports are anything to go by then a Turkish center half wants to play for the Reds in future.

Bursaspor center back Ertugrul Ersoy has confirmed in a recent interview and claimed (Sabah translated by Turkish Football:
“I dream of playing for Europe, for me the pinnacle would be playing for Liverpool,”
“I want to play for Liverpool but in the short term I aim to become Bursaspor captain and then perhaps move to the Bundesliga before making my next step.”
The 21-year-old defender has so far featured in 12 games in the Turkish Super Lig this season and scored 1 goal. He made his senior international debut last month in a friendly fixture vs Bosnia.
In the current campaign, so far, the Reds have played 12 league games and conceded just 5 goals. The Merseysiders do not need to strengthen their defense at the moment and should look to amplify the depth of their attack in January.
