3-4-3: Chelsea’s Best XI to defeat Jose again

Chelsea have really rubbed Jose’s nose in it this season.

Not only are they miles ahead of his new club Manchester United in the league but they have also beaten his Red Devils twice already this season.

Add to that the jibes that the former Special One received from Chelsea fans on his last visit to Old Trafford and he must be welling up with bitterness.

A third straight victory for Chelsea at Old Trafford this weekend would surely be too much to bear for Mourinho. So TFF believes that even a draw would be perceived as a small victory to stop the rot for the Portuguese.

There is no doubt that Manchester United have improved under Mourinho. But the speed of transition at Chelsea under Antonio Conte has been far quicker and the Blues are playing convincing and free flowing football week on week.

They will look to inflict more on United this weekend and have had a free week to recover. United have had a trio to Anderlecht to contend with a several injuries have further weakened Jose’s hand.

In what has been a dream season for Chelsea – a season in which they will surely win the league and cup double – they have also enjoyed a clean bill of health for virtually the entire season.

So their best eleven remains pretty easy to pick and usual, the only real debate is whether Willian or Pedro plays on the right. Nigerian international Victor Moses has been superb there this season but Willian has even more attacking threat.

TFF would play Willian at wing back to squeeze them both in. Chelsea fans: could the Brazilian dynamo do a job there?
