Another Bid Made: Chelsea in for highly promising 12 cap international – report

Spanish media outlet AS, is reporting that Chelsea have made a bid of 30m Euros for the services of the excellent German international defender Shkodran Mustafi.

The report suggests that, having so far been unsuccessful in their attempts to sign Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus, Chelsea have quickly turned their attention to a player who is reportedly also attracting the interest of Arsenal.

The 24-year-old Germany international has played 12 times for Germany since his debut in 2014 and played at EURO 2016 despite fierce competition for places in the sqaud – not least from the likes of Mats Hummels and Benedikt Howedes.

Mustafi started his senior career at Everton but only made one appearance in three seasons. He moved to Sampdoria in 2011 and made his way up the ranks before a big move to Valencia in 2014 where he has been a virtual ever present with 78 appearances and 6 goals to his name.

TFF thinks that the 6ft centre back can become one of the very best defenders in Europe over the next few years. He’s already a strong footballer and has pace and great feet.

Chelsea are clearly in the market for another centre back with the likes of Bonucci and Kalidou Koulibaly being linked to big money moves to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Let’s see some of his highlights in his colourful career so far.

Chelsea fans: would Mustafi be as good a signing as Kalidou Koulibaly or Leonardo Bonucci?
