Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering a bid for the impressive young full back Elseid Hysaj according to weekend reports.
The Daily Star says on this one:
EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal weighing up £15m bid for Albania ace Elseid Hysaj
Admittedly the term ‘Albania’ and ‘ace’ don’t normally go hand in hand in footballing terms. But this guy has definite talent.
The 22-year-old right back, who was selected for Albania’s final 23 man EURO 2016 squad, moved to Serie A with Empoli in 2011. He gradually made his way through the ranks and became a first choice when fit before moving to Napoli at the start of last season.
On the bigger stage his good form continued and he played 43 times for Napoli in his debut season at the club.
So he’s racked up an impressive 152 club appearances by the age of 22. Just as impressive is his international career where he has already made 17 appearances for an improving Albania.
Arsenal do of course have the superb Hector Bellerin at right back and he won’t be easy to dislodge. Any move for Elseid Hysaj will likely be as a back up for Bellerin to begin with as Arsenal will surely offload Mathieu Debuchy this summer.
As you can see from the video Hysaj is a quick and dynamic player but also has a cultured right foot.
Let’s see some of his better moments in his still young career.
