Arsenal is eying a summer move for Aston Villa and England attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers, as Gunners boss Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his squad ahead of a Premier League title defence next season.
The north London club have enjoyed an excellent campaign, not just winning the Premier League title but also reaching the Champions League final, only to suffer a heartbreaking defeat on penalties against PSG.
However, they will look to maintain their positive momentum in the 2026/27 season.
Rogers has enjoyed another decent campaign
Morgan Rogers has enjoyed another decent campaign with Villa, helping the Villans to a fourth-place finish and qualification to the Champions League in the new season, with the 23-year-old having scored ten goals and produced six assists.
His performances for the Midlands outfit have propelled him into Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup 2026 squad, where he could play a key role. Rogers has won 13 caps for the Three Lions, scoring once.
Competition for Rogers signature

Rogers performances haven’t only caught the eye of Arsenal, though, as the attacking midfielder has been linked with several other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and their city rivals, Manchester City.
United are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League in the new season and to mount a challenge at the top of the Premier League.
Meanwhile, City is set for a new era under head coach Enzo Maresca after the departure of legendary City boss Pep Guardiola. Rogers played for City as a youngster, having started his career at West Brom.
A return to the Etihad Stadium and a prominent role in the fresh start for City could well prove to be a tempting prospect.
Maresca worked with Rogers in the Citizens academy before the Italian moved on to manage Leicester. The player has talked glowingly about the Italian boss.
His previous relationship with the former Chelsea boss could well prove decisive in his destination this summer, if, of course, he leaves Villa.
