Premier League champions Arsenal are interested in signing Aston Villa and England centre-back Ezri Konsa this summer. The Villans are believed to value Konsa around the £60m mark.

Konsa could be centre-back cover at Arsenal

Arsenal have one of the most highly-rated centre-back partnerships in the Premier League in Gabriel and William Saliba.

Beyond the pair, the likes of Ben White, Piero Hincapie, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori can all play at centre-back. However, they are more commonly used as full-backs.

Ezri Konsa could well provide extra centre-back cover for the Villans, although it remains to be seen if he would wish to make the move to North London and be a bit-part player for the Gunners.

He is a first-choice starter at a club like Villa, who have qualified for the Champions League. His performances for the Midlands club have seen him become a regular in the England team, and he is currently one of the first-choice centre-backs for the Three Lions at the World Cup.

Interested in Morgan Rogers

Konsa is not the only Villa player that Arsenal are interested in signing this summer, as they are also believed to be interested in signing Konsa’s England teammate Morgan Rogers.

The attacking midfielder enjoyed another solid campaign last season, scoring 14 goals and producing 12 assists in 55 appearances in all competitions.

Rogers has been linked with a move to the Gunners for a while. In fact, reportedly the England international is regarded as one of the Gunners’ priority signings this summer, as Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options.

The player is believed to be keen on a switch to the English champions, but Villa are reluctant to sell. According to some media reports, the Villans have slapped a £130m price tag on Rogers.

Arsenal are not the only club interested in signing the attacking midfielder this summer, as Manchester United, Chelsea and his former club Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the Villans.
