Arsenal to lose out again?

Latest reports suggest Arsenal may lose out on a player who is rumoured to have been a long-term target for Arsene Wenger.

Never particularly happy to hand over large wads of cash, the Arsenal manager seems unwilling to get involved in a bidding war with French giants on this occasion.

The Mirror reports:

Reports in France, suggest Julian Draxler is a step closer to joining PSG.

According to L’Equipe, PSG could land him in a €36m deal.

The same media outlet had earlier quoted a member of the player’s entourage who gave Arsenal fans real hope of a deal by stating:

“Nothing is done,” confirmed a member of the player’s entourage to Le Parisien. “Julian is hesitating between PSG and Arsenal. For the moment, he is thinking.

The German young forward looks as if he has everything going for him as a footballer. It’s not just his natural ability that is so remarkable but the fact that he reads the game so well for such a young player.

At 23 years of age he’s already played 27 times for world champions Germany and scored three goals. He could realistically play in five or six different positions in a top team but he’s particularly at home anywhere across the front line.

This is not only a player for now but one for the future and we think that Arsenal would be mad not to get involved if they had a chance of signing him. With the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil potentially up in the air a player like this could bolster and refresh the squad no end.

Arsenal fans: how big a miss will it be if you don’t sign Draxler?
