Arsenal open talks for goal machine signing in January – report

Arsenal looked imperious again at the weekend and TFF thinks that a genuine title push is in the offing.

There is more substance to this squad and most areas look well covered.

But further investment may be forthcoming in January, according to a British tabloid.

The Sun reports:

Carlos Bacca to Arsenal: Arsene Wenger set to make £20m move for AC Milan striker and have already opened talks

You might have assumed that Arsenal have more than enough firepower with Alexis Sanchez looking like the player of the year in waiting and Olivier Giroud chomping at the bit for game time.

But Bacca does offer something a little different. He’s a prolific goalscorer with more height than Sanchez but more pace and mobility than Giroud.

The 30-year-old has scored 13 in 38 for Colombia and done even better at club level.

He hit 49 in 108 games in a highly successful spell for Sevilla and moved to Milan in 2015 where he has scored 26 in 56 for the Italians.

This would be a great signing for Arsenal. They always seem to do just about enough in the transfer market without really going for it. If they were to make a statement signing in January, in an already strong area of the squad, they could finally break through the glass ceiling and still be in the race come May.

Let’s have a look at Bacca in action. Arsenal fans: a necessary signing or would you sooner bolster elsewhere?
