Arsenal linked with excellent duo

We seem to say this every couple of weeks but it’s going to be a big few months for Arsenal. Most expect Arsene Wenger to get a stay of execution and have one more season in charge. And surely if he does that he will splurge on some of Europe’s top talents to finally prove that he can break through the glass ceiling and win some serious silverware at the club.

Two more players have been linked and one could be described as a potential A-lister.

Spanish media outlet Don Balón reported last night:

Arsenal is the club that is interested in Danilo

This would be the clearest indication yet that the brilliant Spanish international Hector Bellerin could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer. And what a replacement Danilo would be. Hasn’t always been first first choice in the Real Madrid side since his move a couple of years ago but he does play from Brazil on a regular basis and he would be an absolutely sensational and almost tailor-made replacement for Bellerin.

Still only 25 years of age Danilo has represented Brazil 15 times since his debut back in 2011. He may not have kicked on quite as people expected when he moved to Spain but he’s still a superb athlete and a really jet-heeled wide man who can beat a man and put in superb crosses from the right-hand side. He never seems to tire and Arsenal fans would love him.

British media outlet in The Mirror, meanwhile, is reporting that Arsenal are interested in another young French midfielder. They say:

Arsenal eye Corentin Tolisso transfer with French midfielder set to quit Lyon to boost his World Cup chances

The 22-year-old Lyon midfielder can also play at right back and has made his debut for the France international side. He currently has one cap for France and looks like he’s going to be a stalwart of the French side in future.

He’s been at Lyon for four seasons and scored 29 goals in 159 highly exciting performances for the club.

Arsenal fans: does he have enough experience to make a difference to the first-team?
