Bad transfer move for Everton?

TFF is a definite fan of proposed Everton signing Ademola Lookman. The Charlton Athletic prodigy looks as if he’s got power, pace and a proper football brain. And, under Ronald Koeman, he could easily become an Everton regular over the next few years.

But reports today, and over the last few weeks, have suggested that this move could pave the way for the departure of the mercurial talents of Gerard Deulofeu.

We have spoken to many Everton fans over the last few years about the player and their feelings are varied. He is capable of such brilliance but doesn’t produce it on a regular enough basis.

But, at the age of 23, there’s still so much development to come from this guy and we think that he’s easily good enough to be an important member of an Everton squad which could push for the top four.

He’s got such ability, an eye for the key pass, as well as dribbling skills and a penchant for the unpredictable which regularly flummoxes defences.

Certain players don’t suit certain systems and perhaps that is the case with Deulofeu under Koeman at Everton. But Koeman is a great man-manager and we would be surprised if the move to Italy does happen.

Sky Sports have today suggested that:

Ademola Lookman’s proposed move to Everton could pave the way for Gerard Delofeu to leave the club, according to Sky sources in Italy.

AC Milan have made an enquiry to sign the winger on loan with a right to buy. We understand they are yet to get a response.

Deulofeu has played 72 times for Everton and scored 8 goals during his two spells at the club. TFF thinks his best is yet to come. We wouldn’t be at all surprised if he brought the house down in Italy, albeit in a slightly slower paced league.

Toffees fans: would it be a good move to sell him on at this point or does he have much more to offer?
