Barcelona scouting awesome foursome – report

Just when the press was beginning to talk about the end of an empire, Barcelona once more confounded the critics to record an unprecedented victory against PSG in the most titanic comeback that TFF has ever seen.

Because it wasn’t as if Barcelona were playing against minnows at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

And after 88 minutes they still needed THREE goals to go through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

We very much suspect that large numbers of Barca fans are still partying as we write.

And while the comeback was illustrative of the fact that the attacking unit of Barcelona is alive and well, there are definite improvements needed in the midfield and defence.

Spanish media outlet, Marca, reports that Barcelona have scouted four Premier League players with a definite Spanish flavour.

Barcelona director Robert Fernandez looks to London ahead of transfer window

Hector Bellerin

TFF wouldn’t be too surprised if Bellerin is already wearing a Barcelona shirt underneath his Arsenal one. He seems absolutely tailor-made for Barca with his pace and ability to get up and down the line. Are you Dani Alves in disguise?

Marcos Alonso

The Chelsea wing back has been one of the success stories of the season in the Premier League and while he doesn’t have the pace of Bellerin he would still do a solid job on the other side of the defence. But he only moved to Chelsea this season and Antonio Conte will not want to part ways with the Spaniard.

Cesar Azpilicueta

Another incredibly constant Chelsea star who has the quality to fill several positions in the team with ease. He’s currently playing in a back three and is comfortable as a left or right full back.

Nemanja Matic

A surprise inclusion in this list. He’s certainly no Sergio Busquets and it’s difficult to imagine him being a central part of the txt Barcelona vintage.

Barca fans: who would you take out of this group?
