Liverpool have made a £7m offer for Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell, according to various sources in the British media, including The Daily Telegraph and The Liverpool Echo.

The Reds tabled an offer of £5million plus £2million in add-ons for the England Under-21s international.
The 19-year-old wide man’s name has been doing the rounds for at least 6 months in relation to a big move, with Arsenal also credited with an interest.
But Liverpool may now be in the box seat to make the signing of a player with huge potential and although this bid has been rejected it does feel like an opening salvo as Leicester are probably resigned to losing the player this summer.
The 19-year-old has only played 3 times for Leicester and never in the league. He went on loan to Huddersfield last season and played only a handful of game there too.
But such is his potential that big clubs obviously think that this is a sure thing. Chilwell has represented England from U18 to U21 level and is a mobile athlete with real composure.
Liverpool’s left-back slot is fairly well, if not perfectly covered already.
Alberto Moreno is dynamic going forward but you wouldn’t bet your house on him making a saving tackle in defence. And while Jon Flanagan regularly played there before long-term injury he is right footed and he needs to prove himself again after so long out of the game.
