Pacy: Is this Chelsea’s next creative signing?

Despite the amazing amount of hype surrounding Chelsea transfers this month they are yet to see any major arrivals in January so far.

But as we enter the business end of the window, they will surely be priming themselves to spend some serious cash.

And one of the more exciting names that has surfaced over the last week is that of Middlesbrough star Adama Traore.

The youngster has been on top form since he moved to the Premier League and his boss has name checked Chelsea this week in his public utterances about the player.

The Daily Mail quotes him as saying:

‘If a team like Chelsea is following Adama, it’s because his progression has been brilliant in six months and he’s doing well.

Still only 20 years of age, the jet-heeled winger has played six times for Spain at U19 level.

He came up through the ranks at Barcelona and was hyped as something special as he turned out 63 times and scored eight goals for Barcelona’s B team.

But he only made four appearances for the first team before being sold to Aston Villa in a permanent deal in 2015. When Villa went down Middlesbrough snapped him up and he has since been a thorn in the side of opposition defences in the Premier League.

He’s played 14 times this season and while he is still somewhat raw he has wonderful natural attributes.

He’s a powerful and pacy player with a great engine. And perhaps he could even be moulded into a top wingback in Antonio Conte’s preferred 3-4-3 system which has worked so well for the league leaders this season.

Victor Moses made a similar transition and has been a revelation this season at wingback.

Trader wouldn’t be able to complete a move to Chelsea until the summer as he has already played for two clubs this season.

Chelsea fans: is this the most likely next creative addition?
