Chelsea will have to break the bank for South American

Chelsea have been quoted a whopping amount to sign the brilliant left wing back Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer according to latest reports.

British media outlet, The London Evening Standard, reports:

Antonio Conte wants to strengthen his options at left wing-back, but Juventus will demand a minimum of £52million to part with Alex Sandro.

The Brazil international made his debut for his country in 2011 and has only played six games since. But he looks as if he could have a big career for his nation after some excellent seasons at club level.

The indefatigable left back moves to Porto in 2011 and had four really good seasons there playing 135 games and scoring 3 goals.

That prompted a move to Italian giants Juventus where he has played 74 games and scored five goals over the last two seasons. He’s been a virtual ever present since he forced his way into the side and he looks likely he would be a fantastic signing for Chelsea.

He ticks all the boxes from modern wing back as he’s brilliant athlete and never stops running. And he is just as good going forward as he is defending where he is also pretty solid.

At 26 years of age Chelsea would be buying a finished article but a player who has still got five years at least left at the top level. And they will definitely be augmenting those wide areas this summer after exhausting their current wing backs Victor Moses and Marcus Alonso.
