Big Day: Another Major Chelsea signing clinched

After completing the transfer of Michy Batshuayi earlier this month Chelsea have done another major piece of business to secure the services of Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante.

British media outlet, The Guardian, states:

Chelsea confirm signing of N’Golo Kanté from Leicester City

Kante has enjoyed a remarkable rise to stardom over the last year to become a Premier League winner and a staple part of the France EURO 2016 squad – a stunning trajectory for a midfielder who was playing for French minnows Caen just over a year ago.

Kante is expected to massively improve his wages with the report suggesting that the finishing touches have been put to a five year deal worth £150,000 per week.

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is clearly trying to strengthen the spine of the side with the addition of a centre forward and a central midfielder. And the centre back position looks likely to be embellished next with the potential addition of the powerful defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Chelsea have pace on the wings with Hazard and Willian. The supplements through the middle should give Chelsea an excellent chance of at least returning to the top four come next May and Conte will be looking for more in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

We shall keep you updated on developments as they happen.

Here are some of Kante’s highlights over the last 12 months. Chelsea supporters: worth the hefty fee?
