Latest reports suggest that Chelsea are confident that they are about to complete the signings of two superb targets this summer. British media outlet, the London Evening Standard, suggests that two A-listers could be close to arriving at Stamford Bridge.
They say:
Chelsea confident deals for Romelu Lukaku and Tiemoue Bakayoko are close
Ex-Chelsea striker Lukaku has been seemingly agitating for a move for a couple of years now and he looks as if he wants to move back to London. It’ll be a perfect fit for him at Chelsea especially if Diego Costa leaves the club. This can be Chelsea’s main number 9 for years to come and we expect him to bag 20 plus goals every season.
Lukaku scored 71 goals in 133 games for Everton and that’s a brilliant ratio for a side that isn’t freeflowing or part of the elite.
As for Bakayoko, the Monaco youngster a similar player to N’Golo Kante and the idea of him playing alongside the Frenchman next season is pretty frightening for Premier League rivals. Chelsea will be even stronger in the engine room and these two could form a brilliant partnership for years to come.
After these two deals the main bit of business could be to hold on to Eden Hazard who is drawing lots of speculation of his own with regards to transfer this summer. If Chelsea can hold on to that Frenchman they could be in a fantastic position by the start of next season.
