Shock return to Chelsea for 53 cap man?

Chelsea may look to bring exiled winger Juan Cuadrado back to the club this summer according to latest reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail writes:

Juventus worried as new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte intends to give Juan Cuadrado another chance in England

This would have to go down as something of a shock if it did come to pass. Because Juan Cuadrado was abject in his time at Chelsea.

He may not have been given enough game time by then manager Jose Mourinho.

But he didn’t seem to have the nerve for the physical aspect of the game in England and his time at Chelsea was forgettable to say the least. He played just 15 times for the club before loans to Fiorentina and Juventus.

And it is Juan Cuadrado’s time in Italy that the new Chelsea boss will remember much more fondly. The Colombian international, who has 53 caps for his country, 6 goals, was a man transformed in Serie A on both loan spells.

Whether he is suited to The Premier League remains to be seen. But he does possess great pace and was seen as a major coup for Chelsea when they did complete the move for him in 2014.

Chelsea currently have Willian and the unsettled Pedro fighting it out for the right wing slot.
