Speculation is obviously rife at this time of the summer but if Chelsea were to pull off this double deal then their fans would be literally bent double with joy.
Because latest reports in the British media suggest that Chelsea are eyeing two brilliant Real Madrid players.
British media outlet, the Sunday Mirror, suggests that Chelsea may scupper Manchester United’s move for 24-year-old Spanish striker Alvaro Morata:
Chelsea plan to hijack Manchester United deal for Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata with Diego Costa set to leave
The 24-year-old looks certain to leave Real Madrid this summer and Manchester United appeared to be in the box seat to sign him. But that deal has gone a little bit quiet and perhaps Chelsea will now move into pole position for the signature of the excellent forward.
In other news Chelsea are apparently interested in signing an even bigger superstar of the game. Cristiano Ronaldo has made little effort to hide the fact that he is unhappy with his treatment in Spain over the last couple of weeks relating to tax fraud. And rumours have been rife about a move away from Spain.
One report suggests that Roman Abramovich is ready to dig deep into his pockets to buy the brilliant Portuguese.
The Express reports:
Roman Abramovich keen on Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard swap
If Chelsea are indeed resigned to losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer then this could be the perfect swap deal. They would be getting an even better player – albeit noticeably older – and also one of the biggest sporting brands in the world. So they could do nothing but help their own brand as well as their team.
TFF still believes that Ronaldo will ultimately stay at Real Madrid but let’s take a look at him in action.
Chelsea fans – do you believe this one could happen?
