Chelsea want to sign outstanding playmaker this month

TFF still expects Chelsea to be busy in this transfer window even though they haven’t yet signed a player in January. And latest reports suggest that they could be interested in a brilliant Premier League playmaker.

British media outlet, The Sun, reports:

Dimitri Payet wanted by Antonio Conte

Italian boss ready to splash out this month after Frenchman went on striker at capital rivals West Ham

The report states that West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has confirmed that the player has gone on strike at the club after The Hammers rejected a bid of £20 million for Payet.

This suggests that a move is imminent with player power at its height.

The 29-year-old French international who has played 32 times and scored eight goals for his country since his debut in 2010, has been an absolute sensation in the Premier League over the last season and a half. His form has been such that he was one of the star players at EURO 2016, totally eclipsing some of the more established A-list members of the cast.

He has scored 15 goals in 60 games for West Ham but his value to the team has been so much more than just putting the ball in the onion bag as he is one of the most creative players in England.

With Chelsea having sold Oscar earlier in the month the idea of a number 10 coming into the club is definitely not beyond the realms of possibility. The report also suggests that Chelsea have missed out on the signing of Arturo Vidal after Juventus put their foot down on any possible transfer.
