David de Gea has 80% chance of playing against Arsenal according to report

Manchester United are yet to get a really decent run going this season. The international breaks and the injury list haven’t helped. But now that the internationals are over for 4 months Louis van Gaal will hope to remedy both problems and beat his current record sequence of two straight wins.

What Manchester United need is a really confidence boosting victory. To win a game which they perhaps aren’t expected to. They haven’t done that so far and Saturday would be a great time to start. Arsenal are only one point ahead of Manchester United and a win for the away team will really signal progress and open up the possibility of three wins on the bounce for the first time this season.

To do that Manchester United will need some of their main men fit. David De Gea has most certainly become one of those with a fine 18 months and the latest news suggests that he will be ready for Manchester United’s game against Arsenal on Saturday. De Gea dislocated his little finger while training with Spain but he seems bullish about playing in the game of the weekend:

Sources close to the Spanish team told Sportsmail on Tuesday evening that the United No 1 has ‘an 80 per cent’ chance of making the starting line-up when his club return to Barclays Premier League action this weekend.

With Manchester United’s current injury problems at the back they could certainly use the brilliant Spaniard this weekend.
