Deal Agreed: Barcelona reportedly agree fee for 30 cap international

Reports in England have suggested that Barcelona have now agreed a deal to bring Jasper Cillessen to the club as they prepare to let go of their current number 2, Claudio Bravo.

The Mirror reports:

Barcelona agree Jasper Cillessen transfer to set up Manchester City replacing Everton target Joe Hart with Claudio Bravo

Manchester City have moved a step closer to signing Claudio Bravo from Barcelona in a £17.4million deal.

Barca’s capture of Ajax keeper Jasper Cillessen for £10m means they will now let Bravo move to England to become new Blues boss Pep Guardiola ’s No.1.

Bravo has played 72 times for Barcelona in the two seasons that he has been at the club. But he has been forced down the pecking order by Andre Ter Stegen more recently and the German looks as if he will cement his place this season.

And TFF reckons that even if Bravo was No.1 at Barcelona the club would be mad not to take £17 plus for a 33 year-old.

As for Jasper Cillessen he had an excellent World Cup in Brazil as Holland got the semi-final in 2014.

He’s a keeper with a big personality and likes to play the game on the front foot. So he could be an entertianing signing as well as a good quality one.

At 27 he has experience but is still expected to start as back up to Ter Stegen at the start of his career at El Camp Nou.

Let’s have a look at some of his better moments in his career. Barca fans: good business to sell Bravo and bring in Cillessen?
