£20million star ‘keen’ to agree Man United move

Manchester United are looking to sign a center half and once again, they are linked with a move for Uruguayan international Diego Godin.

According to The Daily Star, the Red Devils are confident of sealing the signing of the Atletico Madrid star in the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old’s current contract with the Spanish club will expire next summer and it has a clause of £20million, which United are willing to match (The Daily Star).

The British outlet have further mentioned that the veteran central defender is ‘keen’ on agreeing a move to Man United before it is too late.

The Old Trafford club only conceded 28 goals in the entire league campaign last term, however, this season, they have already conceded 21 goals in just 12 league fixtures.

Mourinho needs to sign a world class center half and Diego Godin perfectly fits the bill. He has been in top form over the years and even at 32, he is going strong.

The South American star is an integral part of Diego Simeone’s back line, which has only leaked 8 goals in the La Liga this season. Godin has so far played 11 league games in the current campaign and scored 2 goals.

We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming months.
