Double boost for Liverpoool ahead of Huddersfield clash

Liverpool Crest

Liverpool will face Huddersfield away from home when the Premier League returns this weekend. Who will come out on top?

The Reds are currently in third position, level on points with second place Chelsea and leaders Manchester City. On the other end, the Terriers have not won a single game as yet and are 18th in the table.

Therefore, Klopp’s men should be considered clear favorites to win the contest on Saturday.

Liverpool do have a few injury concerns to deal with but as per the latest injury update, two key players will be ready to feature against Huddersfield.

Retired England international James Milner has been fantastic for the Anfield club this season. He has worked tirelessly in every game but eventually limped off injured with a hamstring concern in the last contest vs Man City.

As per Mirror Sport, the veteran midfielder was supposed to be out until next month but after making lightning recovery, he is fit to play.

Liverpool have been strong at the back this season and a lot of credit for that goes to their record signing Virgil van Dijk, who has been rock solid.

The Dutch defender was ruled out for his nation’s clash against Belgium but coach Koeman has confirmed (Liverpool Echo) that the former Southampton star is ready to play for the Reds.
