Everton in talks for major signing and 63 cap international

Talk about having something to prove!

Joe Hart hasn’t had the best two or three years of his career, with several high profile wobbles at club and country level.

But he’s a top class professional, a really personality in the dressing room and TFF would take him every day of every week ahead of 33-year-old Barcelona number 2 Claudio Bravo.

Bravo may better suit Pep Guardiola’s system of passing the ball out from the back. But the bigger question is whether that tactic will actually work in The Premier League where teams tend to press much higher than in Spain.

But latest reports suggest that Everton are in talks to make a truly excellent signing.

The rumours suggest that the 29-year-old, who has played 63 times for England, would rather continue to ply his trade in England rather than go abroad and Everton may turn out to be the perfect marriage.

We wonder whether Liverpool might also take a serious look at him. But they did sign a keeper this summer, Loris Karius, who is expected to be the new number 1 ahead of Simon Mignolet.

It will be a fascinating few days for Everton and TFF believes that if they get this one over the line they will be making a superb capture.

Let’s have a look at his best moments for club and country.
