According to latest reports Manchester United are confident that they will have a deal for French international striker Antoine Griezmann over the line by the end of June. The club are said to be keen to avoid a long, drawn out transfer saga and want to get Griezmann on their books as soon as possible.
British media outlet, The Independent, reports:

Some will wonder why Manchester United are prepared to pay such a huge amount of money for a player who is very diminutive in stature. But his goalscoring record is really only part of the allure of this player. Because when you have a look at his highlights you will realise that he is incredibly fleetfooted and a genuinely gifted footballer.
He works between the lines beautifully and really makes things happen. He can start attacks from his own 18 yard line. He is really quick and can dribble with the ball past players. And he finds space beautifully.
But back to the business end of football – this is a player who almost guarantees goals. And he doesn’t just score tap ins like a fox in the box. Griezmann can hit absolute howitzers from distance as well as getting into the area and scoring the bread-and-butter goals.
He would most certainly improve Manchester United whether he played up top or on the wings and even though the club will probably need another forward if they really want to attack Europe and make a proper title challenge next season this French international will genuinely improve the first 11.
