Liverpool play speedy, attacking football these days under Mr.Rodgers and will always be on the lookout for players who can augment and proliferate that style of play.
The one to 11 for Liverpool has been superb this season but they still need to add some depth and creativity to the squad.
On loan forward Victor Moses may return to Chelsea which will leave a further vacuum beyond the 1st picks in the advance areas. So Brendan Rodgers has much work to do in the transfer market while the rest of us throw stuff at the telly watching England play.
Christian Tello seems like a superb option for Liverpool. You would have to back him to fit seamlessly into the Brendan Rodgers football template i.e getting the ball from back to front as quickly as possible and ideally on the deck. He’s got the technical ability to dribble, pick a pass and keep it one and two touch.
The Metro reported recently:
Liverpool have approached Barcelona over a deal to sign winger Cristian Tello at the end of the season.
The Reds were in talks to sign 22-year-old Tello last summer, only for the player to end up signing a new contract at the club.
The report goes on to say that Barcelona have finally told him he can leave the club at the end of the season but also that PSG and Arsenal are interested.
And the mooted price of £8 million does seem very cheap for one so technically gifted and speedy.
But we always maintain that there is seldom smoke without fire with these transfer rumours and Tello has been linked to Liverpool so many times that you have to feel there is some substance to the rumour
