‘I Will Sign’: Great news for Manchester United as future continues to look brighter under new guidance

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that if he was offered a new contract at the club he would sign it without hesitation.

Although results haven’t always been good during the short tenure of the Portuguese manager, there is a definite sense that the club is moving forward under his stewardship. Manchester United are undefeated in 10 games in a run which includes seven victories and the performances have improved immeasurably since the days of Louis van Gaal.

Despite talk of the Manchester United boss not being settled in the area because of him living in a hotel, he says he’s absolutely loving the job.

Sky Sports quotes him as saying:

“They are being super supportive with me, and always gave me the feeling that three years is not the time I am going to stay here, I always had the feeling that I am going to stay for more time.

“They know that I’m loving it, at every level, I’m loving my job at Manchester United, and they know that if one day they bring the contract, I will sign it, I don’t even need my advisers, I’ll sign because I am loving it.

The Portuguese maestro is not known as someone who stays in any job for a particularly long period of time.

His average tenure tends to be around three years and we all know a week can be a long time in football let alone three years.

But perhaps this is the job which will keep Mourinho entertained and satisfied in the long-term. He has a huge job on his hands to return the club to the top of the European elite but he is certainly going in the right direction.

Manchester United fans: would you swap him for any other manager right now?
