Ibe to leave on loan – good move for Liverpool?

Liverpool are reportedly ready to allow their immensely talented youngster Jordan Ibe to leave the club on a year long loan – possibly to Bolton.

The Mirror, among others, has reported:

Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe to join Bolton on loan as Dougie Freedman’s patience pays off

The 18-year-old certainly hasn’t found a place for himself in the senior Liverpool squad yet with only three appearances in all competitions since he joined from Wycombe in 2012.

But every Liverpool fan that we speak to absolutely raves about this lad in the same sort of way, or perhaps even more intensely, as they did about Raheem Sterling.

And, indeed, in the cameo appearances that he has had with Liverpool, including one against Manchester United in America this preseason, he really does look like the business.

Ibe has great speed, fantastic ball control for one so young, and a real penchant for that dieing art of dribbling.

Although Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic are expected to get the lions share of game time out in the wide positions this season, if either got injured the opportunity would surely knock for Ibe.

We think that it would be a shame if he left Liverpool for the season. He clearly needs matches under his belt but he may well have got them on Merseyside had the club been a bit more bold. Because this guy has all the ingredients to be a top star.
