Belgium international Jeremy Doku has signed a new contract with Manchester City that will keep him at the club until 2031, with an option for a further year.
Doku starting to fulfil his potential
Doku joined the Citizens as a raw talent from French club Rennes in 2023 for a fee of around £55m. He has shown flashes of his development during his time in Manchester.
The winger enjoyed his best season in a sky-blue shirt in the 2025/26 campaign when he scored five goals and produced seven assists in all competitions, including a memorable double against Everton in a 3-3 draw at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
With so many changes to the City squad this summer, and more likely to happen, Doku is a player who can provide at least some continuity for the 2026/27 season.
Grealish back in training, but speculation persists
Former England international Jack Grealish is back in training as he continues his recovery from an injury he picked up last season while on loan at Everton.

However, speculation remains that the former Aston Villa star will return to Everton this summer. The Toffees decided not to activate a £50m clause in his loan deal to make his stay on Merseyside permanent.
Reports suggest that Everton are, however, keen to secure Grealish’s services either on loan or for a lower fee. The player has never hidden that he enjoyed his time with David Moyes’ team, and is believed to be open to a return to Merseyside.
In fact, Grealish still identifies as an Everton player on his social media accounts, suggesting he may return to Merseyside before the transfer window ends.
Everton have strengthened their wide options with the signing of Brennan Johnson from Crystal Palace and also Tyrique George in a permanent deal from Chelsea after a loan spell last season.
