Jose tells Manchester United board to spend £54m on La Liga prodigy – report

He’s 21, he’s playing for one of the best clubs in world football and he has just signed a lucrative new contract with a release clause of £54m. But that hasn’t stalled Jose Mourinho’s interest in bringing the brilliant Saul Niguez to Manchester United this summer.

According to The Daily Star, The Special One is planning to bring the oft-linked player to Old Trafford this summer in what could well become a mammoth spending spree.

JOSE MOURINHO has told Manchester United to splash the cash on his fourth young X Factor star at Old Trafford – £54million Saul Niguez.

The report suggests that the new Manchester United coach will continue to garner a youthful feel to his new squad and that Niguez could become the next bright young thing at United, after the recent unearthing of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.

While we are huge fans of Martial and Rashford, we still aren’t convinced that Lingard is first XI material for a club of United’s ambition and we would be surprised if Jose didn’t invest in a right winger this summer. Niguez himself has been known to play out there as well as in his more regular role in the engine room.

At just 21 Niguez already has over 100 La Liga games under this belt (10 goals) as well as 16 caps at U21 level with Spain.

Let’s see Niguez in action. Manchester United supporters – would this be a worthwhile use of the kitty or would a more experienced star offer more immediate returns?
