Juventus set to swoop for Premier League duo Alisson and Silva

Italian giants could be set for a summer swoop on the Premier League with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson and Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva this summer.

The Bianconeri are in a healthy position to qualify for the Champions League for next season. If the team from Turin seals qualification for European football’s competition, then they will be looking to bring in quality additions to their squad. It seems the Premier League may be where they are concentrating their recruitment.

Liverpool open to selling Alisson

Juventus may just be in luck when it comes to signing Alisson from Liverpool. Club insiders suggest that the Merseysiders are open to selling the veteran Brazilian goalkeeper, with plans to overhaul their squad in the summer after an underwhelming Premier League title defence.

Alisson’s form hasn’t been great in the last few seasons, with injuries undoubtedly playing their part in the former-Roma star’s form.

Liverpool signed highly-rated Georgian Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia in the summer of 2025, who was touted as Alisson’s long-term replacement. The 25-year-old has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season and has given a decent account of himself.

Alisson will have just 12 months left on his Liverpool contract in the summer, having signed a one-year extension to his previous contract in March, which would have expired this summer.

The stopper may feel like it is the right time for a new challenge, especially with a move to a league in which he is already familiar.

Silva set to leave Manchester City this summer

Juventus could also move for Portuguese international midfielder Bernardo Silva, who has recently announced he will leave the Citizens this summer after nine years in Manchester.

Reports in the Italian press claim that Juventus have already been in touch with Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes, about Silva joining on a three-year deal.

Silva has enjoyed a trophy-laden career with City, which has included winning the Champions League once and the Premier League six times. He has been a key creative player in Pep Guardiola’s team’s recent success.

During his City career, Silva has scored 76 goals and also produced 77 assists in 451 appearances in all competitions. Signing the diminutive magician would certainly be a coup for Juventus, as they look to further strengthen for next season.

However, given Silva’s quality, it is not surprising that the Bianconeri will face stiff competition for the midfielder’s signature, with Barcelona and Benfica touted as potential destinations.
