Dagenham and Redbridge’s majority owner, KSI, is reportedly looking to bring in former Bolton, Newcastle and West Ham icon Kevin Nolan as the National League South’s new boss.
The role is currently vacant at the Daggers, with the club keen to appoint a new head in the near future.
Nolan is regarded as a promising young coach

The 43-year-old Nolan is regarded as a promising young coach in the game, having started his managerial career in 2016 at Leyton Orient, where he was player-manager.
Since that initial stint, Nolan has also served as the first coach at West Ham and for England U20’S, as well as the head coach of both Notts County and, most recently, Northampton Town.
Nolan helped steer Notts County clear of the relegation zone before taking the team to second place in League Two. The team couldn’t sustain the good run, and after a six-game winless streak the following August, Nolan lost his job.
He joined Northampton in November 2024, but left the club last month, with the team struggling at the wrong end of the League One table.
Despite having had a mixed coaching career so far, appointing somebody of the profile of Nolan would be a coup for most Football League clubs, let alone Dagenham and Redbridge, who currently sit in the sixth tier of the English game.
Dagenham and Redbridge are ambitious
When the YouTuber KSI bought the majority shareholding of the club in March, he stated that he wanted to bring back the glory days, and even suggested that he would eventually like to see the Daggers in the Premier League.
He is obviously ambitious and wants to help the club progress up the football pyramid. Bringing in a high-profile head coach can only help attract higher-quality players to the club.
Higher-quality players would certainly help push the Daggers in the right direction next season, as they are currently in an underwhelming 13th place in the National League South with just one league game remaining.
