Liverpool look fairly strong all over the park right now and the midfield certainly doesn’t have an obvious frailty with the brilliant Emre Can and Lucas not currently starting. If anything the defence needs the most tinkering as Jurgen Klopp builds a group capable of challenging for serial honours.

But the German idol is said to be keen on Dahoud and it’s easy to see why. The Germany U21 international, who has 6 caps at this level for his country, exploded into the first team at Borussia Mönchengladbach last season, playing 41 games and scoring 5 times. Until that point he’d only played three times for the club in all competitions, but once he got into the team, there was no budging him.

And he has continued this season where he left off last with 10 appearances for the first team this term so far. He looks like a nailed-on starter when fit these days.

Dahoud is a box to box midfielder in the ilk of Steven Gerrard. He is the type to stand out when backs are against the wall but also knows where the goal is and is a regular provider of assists.

Dahoud really does look like a superstar in waiting and Liverpool would do well to snap him up. Have a look at him here.
