The 25-year-old African forward made this debut for Mali in 2015 against Gabon and has been involved with the national side ever since with seven caps and one goal.

At club level he has been something of a journeyman with five clubs under his belt even before he went on loan to Vitória Guimarães where he caught fire up top with 10 goals in just 8 games for the Portuguese outfit.

At 6ft 1in he is a fairly big lad but really knows how to move. He’s also an energetic and mobile player and so perhaps he could learn to fit into the Klopp way at Liverpool.

The German boss has bought really well in the market for Liverpool even through he clearly hasn’t had the budget of most of his title rivals and this could be another coup if it comes off.

But TFF believes that Liverpool should be concentrating on strengthening their back line if they want to last the pace in a Premier Legaue title race which looks more competitive than at any time in recent history.

Let’s see some of Marega’s best moments in his varied career so far. Liverpool fans: is he of the right quality to augment the forward line?
