Winning the transfer race? Liverpool linked with another brilliant young star

There is a sense of freshness about everything that Jurgen Klopp is doing at Liverpool and although we have talked about new dawns far too many times over the last 20 years it really does feel as if things have changed this time.

And there is a freshness about his new recruits also. The latest to be linked to the club is the brilliant Celtic striker Moussa Demebele.

Liverpool are said to be in a battle with Manchester City for the signature of a player who has smashed in 17 goals for Celtic already in his debut season.

The Sun has reported:

MANCHESTER CITY will battle Liverpool for Celtic star Moussa Dembele.

But they fear the Reds have stolen a crucial march in the fight to land the £20million forward.

Dembele was out of contract at Fulham so Celtic got him for a song but they can surely expect, at very least, £20m for the forward if they do eventually fold to Liverpool or Manchester City’s demands.

And this is a player who could rise to the very top of the world game. He’s lightening fast, has great feet and the fearlessness of youth. 17 goals is a magnificent return for one who is still only 20 years of age and he has also hit four goals in four games for the France U21 side.

With this sort of pace and adaptability Dembele would be perfect for the Liverpool front line: an attacking unit which loves to swap places and interchange.

So whether or not Liverpool do manage to sign him TFF believes that Dembele would be very much the sort of player that Jurgen Klopp would like to bring to Anfield.

Liverpool fans – would this be the best use of the transfer kitty?
