Respected source: Liverpool will have to break their transfer record for 22-year-old

Liverpool would have to smash their transfer record if they really want to bring the brilliant 22-year-old midfielder Naby Keita to the club this summer.

That’s according to a report in the British press which states that the player would cost upwards of £50 million and that Liepzig, his current club, do not want to sell.

British media outlet, The Times, reports:

Liverpool will have to smash their transfer record to have any hope of signing the Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita after the German side insisted that he was not for sale.

He stands at just 5’7″ and change but he is a pocket rocket who never stops moving. Not only does he shield the defence brilliantly with his indefatigable style but he also gets forward and is a really potent attacking weapon.

After two highly successful seasons at Salzburg Keita moved to Liepzig in 2016. So he’s only been there for one season but has made an immediate impact at the club.

He scored eight goals in just 28 starts for the club and is now a nailed on starter whenever he’s fit. He looks like he has got the world at his feet and has real maturity for one so young. He can do anything on the football field and is a really exciting midfielder rather than just an anchorman.

In a career which has been fast tracked due to his brilliance Keita made his international debut for Guinea any way back in 2013 and currently has 19 caps and two goals.

Liverpool fans-would you be happy for the major share of the kitty to go on Keita this summer or should you be looking at other areas of the team first?
