Liverpool have been linked with French international and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot for quite some time.
Last month, Mundo Deportivo reported that the Merseysiders are trying to sign the Ligue 1 star by offering him a decent salary and signing on bonus.
This month, the Spanish outlet have mentioned that Liverpool have made a powerful offer for the 23-year-old Les Bleus midfielder, who is also wanted by La Liga champions Barcelona. It is further mentioned that the player is ‘very close’ to making his final decision regarding his future. Not to forget, he will be out of contract next summer.

Rabiot has regularly started for PSG over the years but even after consistent performances, he failed to earn a place in France’s World Cup squad.
In the current campaign, he has so far featured in 11 league games and scored 2 goals under the management of German boss Thomas Tuchel.
As far as Liverpool’s midfield is concerned, Klopp signed the likes of Fabinho from Monaco and Keita from Leipzig in the summer transfer window. Moreover, he has also got midfielders like Lallana, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Oxlade-Chamberlain in the team.
Therefore, signing another midfielder makes little sense, instead, the former Dortmund boss must look to finally replace Coutinho at Anfield.
