‘Find Another Club’: Manager urges Liverpool international to leave the club in January

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been urged to leave the club in January in order to improve his prospects. France national team boss Didier Deschamps made the claim when asked about the continued absence from the first team of the, at times, wayward star.

Deschamps is quoted in The Daily Mirror as saying:

“There has to be another solution for him to find another club in the January window.”

Sakho hasn’t played for Liverpool this season after an overturned drug ban last term and some apparently disquieting behaviour on a summer training camp.

And with Liverpool absolutely flying right now, there seems no way back into this current team.

A lack of European football will also help Liverpool’s title quest. But it’s highly unlikely that they will come through the season without defensive injuries.

Liverpool have Matip, Klavan, Lovren and Tiago ILori as well as Sakho but, TFF still believes that the Frenchman is the best of the lot when on form and he could be an excellent player to come in and reinforce the side when injuries strike.

He’s so powerful but also quick and good with his feet. But, if he does cause problems in the dressing room then his quality is irrelevant. Furthermore, he would command a substantial fee and that could be used to strengthen elsewhere for a club who still don’t have the same scale of budget as some other elite teams.

The 26-year-old, 6ft 2in defender has played for France 28 times and scored twice. He’s also played 79 times for Liverpool and scored three goals.

Liverpool fans: should you keep him or cash in?
