Manchester City linked with major creative addition

Manchester City are regularly linked with the services of Jack Wilshere and perhaps it will be a case of no smoke without fire on this one.

The latest to link the player with a move is British media outlet, The Daily Star, which reports:

MANCHESTER CITY have reached out to Arsenal over a deal for Jack Wilshere.

Wilshere’s career has been blighted by injury. TFF remembers a young Wilshere taking the game to Brazil early in his international career when he looked more South American than the South Americans.

He’s undoubtedly a top talent and if he can stay fit he could be a pivotal player for Manchester City. But he is also well-loved at Arsenal and TFF senses that Wenger will want him back at the club after his so far successful loan spell at Bournemouth.

The England international, who has 34 caps and two goals since his debut in 2010, has played 15 times for Bournemouth this season without scoring. But his value to the team has been obvious as he has pulled the strings and floated around the midfield beautifully. It’s the longest period of match fitness that TFF can remember since his early days at Arsenal and it’s easy to see why Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola would like the look of such a technician who is also accustomed to the cut and thrust of The Premier League.

Wilshere played 159 games and scored 12 goals in his 9 seasons at Arsenal before his loan move.

Manchester City fans: a deal worth doing?
