Manchester City linked with a footballing natural

TFF has always been keen on the natural talents of the midfield playmaker Jack Wilshere. He’s been dreadfully unlucky with injuries over the last few seasons and that will always have an impact on his career and his transfer value.

But he’s been doing the business at Bournemouth this season and looks once again like the football natural that he is.

So comfortable on the ball and a player who reads the game beautifully it’s easy to see why Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are being linked to the player regularly.

Latest report suggests that Manchester City are indeed keeping tabs on the midfielder as his long-term contract at Arsenal is yet to be sorted.

The Daily Mail reports:

Jack Wilshere snubbed: Arsenal yet to contact midfielder on new deal… as Manchester City keep tabs

The 24-year-old has played 32 times for England since his debut all the way back in 2010.

He made his breakthrough at Arsenal nine whole seasons ago but has gone on to play only 159 games for them due to the well-publicized and constant injuries that he has suffered.

But he has settled down beautifully at Bournemouth and played 13 games for them in the heart of the midfield this season, stroking the ball about effectively and offering genuine attacking threat.

If Wilshere could stay fit this could be the most talented English midfielder of his generation and Manchester City would certainly be an improved side with him calling the shots in the engine room.

With Yaya Toure and David Silva coming into the twilight of their careers Manchester City will surely need to reinforce that midfield before too long and Wilshere is an option that is being persistently linked with the club.
