Manchester City set to clinch club record £60m Transfer

According to a respected British media outlet Manchester City are about to break their transfer record for a brilliant midfielder from Monaco.

British media outlet, The Guardian, reports:

Monaco’s Bernardo Silva set to join Manchester City for £60m

Silva has been an integral catalyst for all the good things that Monaco has done over the last year or so. He is a brilliant midfielder with natural ability and the talent to spot a key pass long or short. He scores goals, starts attacks and shields his defence and is able to dribble with the ball. At 22 years of age he has the football world at his feet.

Silva joined Monaco permanently from Portuguese giants Benfica in 2015 after a successful loan spell at the French club in 2014.

In all Silva has played 145 hundred and scored 28 goals for Monaco in what has been a superb career so far. He has also represented Portugal on 12 occasions since his debut in 2015 and scored a solitary goal.

Manchester City definitely need some rejuvenation in the centre of their midfield. Yaya Toure has been an unbelievable servant to the club but is well into his 30s, as is David Silva. The younger Silva is much more like his namesake, in terms of playing style, than Toure as he’s a deft player all about guile and technical wizardry.

At just 22 years of age he has got his whole career ahead of him and could play for 10 years at the very top level for Manchester City.

Manchester City fans – it is a good use of the transfer kitty?
