Manchester City close in on superb signing – but he’s not cheap

Manchester City look set to bolster an already fearsome front line by adding the attacking talents of Leroy Sane to their squad.

According to the highly respected British media outlet, The Guardian, Manchester City are close to doing a deal worth £42m for a wonderful young attacking talent.

And the report quotes the sporting director of Schalke as saying that the player has asked to leave and that they will grant his wish if the conditions of his transfer are met.

So if it’s just a case of money then we can expect a deal to be done before long – Manchester City have never been short of sheckles in the modern era.

TFF is quite surprised that no other club has made a serious bid for a winger who could easily find his way into the top five players in the world over the next few years.

At 20, Leroy Sane is lightning fast and has wonderful feet.

He’s already played 4 times for Germany since his debut last year and has become a regular in the Schalke side with 42 games and a noticeable 9 goals last season. Indeed, Sane has been in the first team for three seasons now and his burgeoning talents are clearly ready for a bigger stage.

With Kevin de Bruyne a nailed-on starter on one wing and Sergio Aguero up top, Raheem Sterling’s position in the side will be of concern to the Englishman who came to the club for an even bigger fee last summer.
