Manchester City linked with powerhouse acquisition

TFF has always been prepared to do voluntary promotion for players who we believe are underrated.

One such player has been linked this week to a move to Manchester City.

Spanish media outlet, AS, reports that Steven Nzonzi is on the radar of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

The growth of N’Zonzi dazzles City, Chelsea, Juve …

The 6ft 3in defensive midfielder has been in dazzling form for Sevilla since his move from Stoke City in 2015.

He’s been a virtual ever present in the heart of that midfield with 68 appearances and seven goals in around one and a half seasons.

TFF always felt that he was a player who ticked all the boxes in The Premier League and were surprised that a big English club didn’t come in for him.

He’s a powerful player who can hold his own in any midfield battle. But he’s also industrious and great with the ball at his feet – he’s composed, skilful and can spot a pass.

In all he played 120 times for Stoke over three very consistent seasons after a similarly stable three year stint at Blackburn Rovers.

His lack of appearances for the France seniors is something of an anomaly and may put Manchester City fans off. But TFF thinks that he would be a real coup of a signing and bring bite and consistency to the midfield. He certainly wouldn’t let anyone down.

Manchester City fans: an underwhelming link or can you see the potential in the player?
