Manchester City prepare bid for Champions League winner – call The Premier League off if these three sign

Manchester City have been ruthless in their transfer business over the last few years and although last summer’s spend wasn’t unanimously seen as a success, fans of at least 17 other Premier League clubs would kill for the budget and buying philosophy of the Manchester giants.

Three more players are in the news in relation to Manchester City today and they are all A-list talents who, if added, would surely make City nailed-on favourites for the title.

The first is the superb Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos and The Express leads with:

MANCHESTER CITY have lined up a second German swoop with a £37million deal to sign midfield ace Toni Kroos as soon as Euro 2016 has ended.

Kroos, who won a second Champions League with Real Madrid last season, also has a World Cup winners medal in his back pocket at the age of just 26.

He’s a cool, calm and composed player who may not always get the plaudits but does a massively important job for Real Madrid as a shield for the defence and a passer of great quality. There is little risk of him not being a big success for Manchester City, if he does arrive this summer.

In other news Manchester City are apparently baulking at the price tag around the neck of one of Europe’s top talents, Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The MEN says:

Guardiola in £65m Aubameyang standoff with Borussia Dortmund

The German club clearly don’t want the player to leave and are at least digging their heels in over a valuation that they are fully aware Manchester City can meet.

The third is a 29-year-old sticker who has blossomed late in his career. The Daily Mail reports:

Pep Guardiola aiming to win race to sign Celta Vigo star Nolito with Manchester City boss impressed by Spaniard at Euro 2016
