Manchester United: £100m transfer tussle mooted – one of the world’s best players but will he really come to The Premier League?

Reports over the weekend suggested that Manchester United and Manchester City may go head-to-head to try to snare the brilliant Barcelona striker Neymar from Spain.

British media outlet, The Sunday Express, reports:

Neymar told to quit Barcelona: Man Utd and Man City set for £100m war – Exclusive

The 25-year-old Brazil international is a true legend of the modern game. He has scored 52 goals in just 77 games for Brazil even though the nation hasn’t been at their best for the last 10 years.

And at club level he’s always done the business too. He’s got 104 goals in 184 games for Barcelona over the space of the last four seasons and before that he was a sensation at Santos too scoring 136 goals in 225 games in his early career. And it is not just goals that he brings to Barcelona. He is one of the most graceful players that you will see and get jaws dropping on a weekly basis with his superb skill and fleet feet.

At 25 he still has a good six or seven years right at the top level and with a man this nimble he could go on for much longer. Neymar doesn’t carry an ounce of spare weight and is so light on his feet. He has been linked with the Premier League for a few years now and perhaps a huge
wage package could entice him to England with Manchester United or Manchester City.
