Manchester United: Winger wants showdown talks with Jose – could leave

Manchester United looks as if it will be an exceedingly busy place this summer with all the ins and outs. And the latest player whose future has been thrown into doubt is Adnan Januzaj.

The Sun says that the playmaker is seeking showdown talks with Jose Mourinho and isn’t prepared to go out on loan again this season.

Belgian winger wants to leave the club permanently and not go out on loan again if he is not in first team plans

The 21-year-old 6ft tall forward exploded onto the scene under David Moyes but couldn’t retain his momentum and never really found a specific position in the starting line up.

After dropping down the pecking order under Louis van Gaal he went on loan to Borussia Dortmund last season but was sent back to Manchester Untied early due to an apparent lack of desire to play for another club.

But this does feel like a make-or-break time for the talented forward.

The problem is that he doesn’t really have the pace to be an effective winger so the number 10 spot is most-suited to him. But there is huge competition for places there with Wayne Rooney, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and excepted newcomer Henrikh Mkhytaryan all vying for that spot.

Unless Jose Mourinho takes the bold decision to play Adnan Januzaj at number 10 next season then we could be talking about the demise of a Manchester United player who was given the shirt number of Ryan Giggs, such was his promise.

Let’s see some of his better moments for the club. Manchester Untied fans: a bad move to let him go?
