TFF always believed that Manchester United would return to greatness with Jose Mourinho at the helm. He’s taken his time to get his feet under the table and find Manchester United’s buccaneering style again.
But the team has so much more purpose, directness and quality these days. And, what’s more, the recent signings have been superb. Zlatan has scored 17 goals 27 games.
Paul Pogba is now starting to boss games. And Henrik Mkhitaryan is showing the sort of equality that made him one of the most sought after names in Europe.
Two more really top players are being linked by a highly respected British media outlet today. The Times reports:
In addition to France forward Antoine Griezmann, the Premier League club have expressed their interest in recruiting Spain midfielder Saul Niguez. Though the pair possess release clauses totalling £145m on contracts that were renewed last summer and run until 2021, United believe they will be able to negotiate transfer fees down from the buyout figures and are willing to wait for the close season to do deals.
TFF has spoken many times about the quality of Antoine Griezmann. He has scored goals at every level including club and international and looks like the real deal. He’s a truly ruthless finisher with so ,much to his game – like a more direct version of Alexis Sanchez.
As for Saul Niguez, the creative midfielder has regularly be linked with Manchester United over the last few years and continues to play brilliantly in La Liga with Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United fans – would these two additional signings get the club back to the very top echelons of European football?
