Manchester United and Chelsea scout New Zlatan

Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be amongst a clutch of top clubs who have sent scouts to see a player dubbed the new Zlatan.

The Sun reports:

Man Utd and Chelsea keeping tabs on ‘next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ Alexander Isak

The report states that 90 clubs had representatives in Sweden to watch the 17-year-old take the field for his team AIK Solna, as they lost to IFK Gothenburg last weekend.

So it’s fair to say that this kid is unlikely to be without a club in the foreseeable future.

Scouts from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were also there to see a youngster who has already hit 10 goals in 22 games for his club.

Manchester United could certainly use some inspiration in the attacking areas of the park right now and perhaps the old master, Zlatan, can persuade the Swedish U21 international that Manchester United is the best place for him to continue his development.

But the kid needs to be careful not to go to a big club too early. Too often precocious youngsters end up with stalled careers as they move to an elite club before they have had the chance to really stretch their legs in football.

TFF would imagine that, in the case of Isak, he will be snapped up by Manchester United, Chelsea or Bayern Munich before being sent out on loan to a club where he will be guaranteed more minutes.
