Striker signing close and will this man be running the show for Manchester United next season? Transfer rumours

Zlatan, lest we forget, has already scored 13 goals for Manchester United this season to prove his undoubted class to the world.

It would probably be more of a surprise if he left at the end of the season than if he carried on for another year. But Manchester United and Jose Mourinho will be looking to the future and will have a shortlist of players that they want to bring in as their next star striker.

Latest rumours suggest that an Ajax starlet is coming to the club, with The Manchester Evening News passing on this link:

Manchester United are reportedly close to a deal to sign a young Ajax forward, Daishawn Redan.

Ajax wanted to keep the Dutch under-17 international but he apparently feels his future is at Old Trafford.

But this is a signing for the future and certainly not a player who is going to walk straight into the Manchester United first team.

TFF believe that the most likely striker to be targeted at Manchester United over the next 6 to 12 months is Antoine Griezmann.

Regularly linked to Old Trafford of late, the brilliant French international is already playing in the Champions League every season at the excellent Atletico Madrid. He will want to be guaranteed Champions League football if he is to move.

But Manchester United can offer him the sort of salary that the Spanish club cannot and he almost guarantees goals. Zlatan is already 35 and may have to play a more peripheral role in the team next season.

We feel that Manchester United need to go all out to bring a world-class striker in his pomp to the club if they are going to win the league and make an impression in Europe. They still miss too many chances at present.

And when we look around Europe for potentially available players in top echelon of goal scorers we keep coming back to Griezmann.

Let’s see him doing what he does best.
